Martinez. Vivo en el Pais Vasco (España). Nací en un pueblo de la provincia de León. Tanto el apellido BARRIENTOS como el escudo proceden de la ciudad de ASTORGA (LEON) España. Del escudo existen al parecer cuatro versiones o ramas, en las cuatro versiones se mantienen los dos colores básicos es decir (Amarillo-azúl). Incluso muy cerquita de ASTORGA, existe un pueblecito llamado Barrientos. Probablemente algún antepasado nuestro, (o algunos) emigraran a América, de ahí la proliferación del apellido por casi todos los paises hispano americanos, sobre todo Bolivia. En fin, que no se me ha ocurrido estudiar mucho este asunto, pero me alegra de que alguien como Vd. se haya interesado por ello. UN SALUDO |

Name is Pablo Barrientos Martinez. I live in the Basque Pais (Spain). I was born in a town of the province of Leon. As much last name BARRIENTOS, as the shield, they comes from the city of ASTORGA (LEON) Spain. Of the shield four versions exist apparently or branches, in the four versions stay basic colors both is to say (Amarillo-azu'l). Even very close to ASTORGA, exists a town named/called Barrientos. Probably some of our ancestor, (or some) emigrated to America, from there proliferatión of the last name by almost all Hispanic-American Countries, mainly Bolivia. In short, it has not been occured to me to study much of this subject, but I am happy that someone like Vd. has shown interest in researching the Barrientos name. A GREETING |
